I don't know about all animals but dogs do.

When female dogs are in heat, there is a blood tinged discharge from the vulva (vagina).

Most loving owners that do not intend to breed their females will have their dogs spayed. This may be why people don't notice that dogs can in fact have a "period".

guys, my friend told me they do......:Graucho but only apes and some monkeys menstruate. i just dont know if it's true.

As I said above, female dogs in heat will have a bloody discharge. Esentially this is doggy menstration.
