There's a cartoon character from way back that's this little bad ass. Strapped with bullets and guns. He's supposed to be a grizzly veteran in a child's body. Sort of like the character Finster from Roger Rabbit.

I think you really gotta hide the fact that the kid is a child, that 4 o'clock shadow helps, but the fact that it has warchild stamped on his helmet and he's in diapers doesnt. I think with this thing you should really go over the top and not make it so life-like. I mean it is a cartoon, but you can still see how its not exactly "flamboyant." I think the more outrageous you make it the safer you are as you can claim that its all just parody of some shit or other.

Or maybe its 2AM and Im talking out of my ass.

That's the sort of idea I originally had in mind. I think we're going to try something more along those lines. Obviously without making a copy of an existing character.
