What type of Dental plans??


I know I had bluecross blue sheild for 86 a month but it was a BS HMO I had to use up 500.00 before I had a co pay.

So either I didn't use it or I have to use it a lot per month..

When I wrote the backend to the FlexCare part they were
underwritten by Blue Cross (it's flipped 3 times and up here
it's Maritime Life now) so I would assume that in the U.S. BC
should have something similar by now. I worked on the project
back in 1998/9.

for dental work i go to mexico, get $4000 worth of work done on my teeth for $400 usd. As for health care im a loan officer and the company i work for provides that for me.

Plus you can knock it out in a day or two, none of that come back every two weeks for the rest of the year bullshit. I have Kaiser and pay about $300 a month for a family of 4.

I work for Lightspeed, and along with my position comes a bunch of benefits I rarely talk about - but medical and dental is just not one of them. Truth is it's too expensive to offer our employees.

In my case my wife works nearly full time - at a hospital none the less. It gets her out of the house, keeps her busy, and in return we get killer medical and dental.

What did you have done?

My friend is self-conscious about his teeth (ex-hockey player) but feels a little old to do the braces thing. He was looking at getting veneers but they charge $300 - $400 per tooth!
