We are out at a state park and are shooting some pics nothing nude, or adult related simple clothes, bikini, fashionshit etc and this fucking park ranger /sheriff fucker gives me a fucking hard time about having having a permit, so i givee him my fishing liceanse/permit and hes like no, do you have a film permit to shoot there...

i reply, i pay to get in the park, pay to park, pay to launch, pay my taxes so its here and i have to havea permit to take pictures?

I am like never heard of such a thing for small shit with 2 people ... Hollywood i can understand... So he proceeds to give me a hard time and i always cool with the pigs, since i was a bartender in college and dealt with them all the time... and I dont know what happened today but I flipped on this guy, dude u have nothing better to do than pull this bullshit... did you bug the family over there with there camera or that fucker? So he proceeds to hold me and model in where we are while his boss comes... so sitting in the 100+ heat for about 20 minutes, i decide fuck this bullshit


So I continue to shoot and we are walking around as shes modeling and hes chasing me around as I am shooting asking me to stop and i am like, unless you want to pay for the models hourly rates or have something to walk on and prove it what your saying is true, I aint stopping.... well california has some bs film commision and you have to have a permit to shoot on any state property.... worst part is ITS FUCKING ALL FREE!!!!! And here this whole time you arn't even getting anything for your qouta.. I mean at least give me a ticket or something, and i am like OH WAIT, YOU CANT!! I am like you pissed me off, cuased a huge scene, and there a fucking dead squirell in the parking lot that needs cleaning, CHOP CHOP and you want me to get a permit to take a picture if i decide at a later point it will be used for commerical use? i quote "FUCK OFF " cop then places hand on his gun then baton and I am towering over this lil fucker he must have been 26 yrs old 5'9" 175lbs

lesson: if any parkranger/ cop asks what its going to be used for... tell them your a raging pervert and its for your own personal use... and they have no legs to stand on.... so long as your not nude, or doing anything outhere.

California is the land of rules and restrictions. You should have assumed something like that existed. I wouldn't be surprised if we're legally supposed to have permits to use public restrooms.

Shot in a National Forrest in Cali one time and it was one of the things that almost destroyed my relationship with a former employer.

We had a company on payroll that handled all of our permit issues...they didn't book it and my bosses to make themselves look good in front of the clients they used me as a scapegoat instead of just admitting that an outside agency fucked it up....things were never the same between us after that.

Damn, a permit to shoot some photos? I can understand if it involved massive film crews and trucks and electric cabling running everwhere, but a few people taking photos in the park shouldn't be a problem.

Seems like it sucks now but only a few years back commercial and fashion shooters would leave polaroids all over, trample everywhere, and just thought they were gods... the messy slobs have ruined it for everyone....it sucks the first time ya find out you need one....most cities require permits for any *for profit* photography even if it is in your own residence...crazy hunh...

Good going Keev.. Don't take shit from those pricks.. I got into it with another asshole like that today. He wanted to write me a ticket for fishing on the wrong bank of Castaic where there's no wind. There's not one sign or anything in their rules that says I can't. I'm not as big as you and this fag ranger/cop looked just like "The Rock". So I said fuck it and drove back to the office to get some work done.

I would guess that it is worth the time to find out for nest time, but I am sure that they will tell you it will take like 6 weeks or something like that.

Geez, you need to read up on the law a bit... federal land requires a permit to shoot commercial pictures. You realistically need a location release.

Don't be upset at them for applying the law. Be upset because you are ignorant about it.

Not to talk shit here but if you were black or hispanic you would be at the bottomn of the lake. You should go back every day and take more pics just to piss him off or play nice and give him a free pass to your site.

The part that sucked about the whole thing is my buddy is good friends with the BOSS that we waited for but he couldnt tell his subordinate to leave or just give a warning in front of his lil bitches.... setting example and etc.

I understand he's doing his job but for him to make such a huge fucking stink right ff the bat was just unreal...

I would have expected him to come over explain it and just say in the future check into getting permit... and be on his way.

Hell past rangers got to watch teh whole shoot and got pics with the girl... and i emailed them to them.

oh well fuckem....

1st thing i did was swap out cards to blank ones so if he did I wouldnt have lost the pictures and video already taken.
