I Watched the First Beheading Video When It Happened, BUT...
I can't bring myself to watch anymore. That one disturbed me SO much. I thought about it for DAYS! Now, in another thread, I read someone saying this latest one is the worst yet. I WILL NOT watch it.
Has anyone else been impacted by watching these videos? Has it changed you in any way? I honestly feel that first one changed me inside a little. |
I might think twice about accepting a job in Iraq.
|
I hear what you are saying, it has some sort of an affect on me right after i watch it, i watched most of them not looking to watch anymore, i think i seen enough.
|
I'm with you man, I did not think it would be what I saw. That shit was fucked up and yes it has made me look at things differently.
|
Im still shocked that GFY allows this shit to go on - your actually watching someone get killed - is that entertainment?? have some respect for the family.
amazing what we accept and dont on this board - you dont post animal sex, kiddie porn or shit like that, but someone getting killed and head cut off (*snuff films) and its okay??!! |
perhaps its not being watched as entertainment. some people need to know whats going on around the world. probably the poor guys who have had this happen to them would want the whole world to see what had been done to them
|
Watched the first one and thought that peace talks are now doomed as this will effect many people who are not as strong stomached as I am. There is no need for me to watch the second.
Over all it has brought the whole conflict to a new level of seriousness for me, not that I ever thought it was a joke of course. Unfortunately I knew it would not be the last one. |

It was a very eye-opening experience. I regret ever watching it. It made my heart hurt for the victim, and his family.
I also had a similar experience when I watched the segment on Fahrenheit 9/11 where the woman is yelling and crying in front of her destroyed house about how they're civilians and how her grandchildren were killed, and what did they do to deserve it, etc. It wasn't quite as powerful (most likely because the gore didn't happen right in front of my eyes like it did on the beheading video), but it SURE made me wish we would have worked hard on some other means of accomplishing our "mission". I love my country. I love our military. I do not hate the President (although I'll be voting against him for making stupid policy decisions and attempting to take away civil rights). But I also feel very badly for the innocent people of any country. I wish we could just put all the "leaders" together from countries that feel the need to fight each other and let them kill each other, instead of innocents. |
I agree with The Legacy. People turn it into stupid comments, and are very heartless.
I don't think a lot of people realize the impact these videos have on others. I am still a bit stunned from the first one that I watched. |
these people are attention whores and you are giving it to them.
don't open the thread, don't comment in the thread and it will slide off the page. |
i've watched one - and i won't watch any more. i can handle the horror of it - but i don't think that sombody's living and dying hell should be 'entertainment' for millions of idiots on the Internet.
there's a place in Hell waiting for those who publish the beheading videos. disseminating news is one thing, those who do this know their motivation. |
I started to watch but could not bring myself to watch the beheading. The first one is fresh enough in my mind that I do not need to see another. I regret watching the first one.
|
I hear ya, I won't watch this new one either. The first one definitely impacted me the day I watched it and although I'm curious, not going to risk my sanity today by watching the newest one.

It's just further examples of how society tends to go for the 'next big thing'.. the 'craziest'.. the 'wildest'.. 'the most extreme' ...
Graphic violence and nudity are increasing in TV shows and movies etc, and so people get 'numbed'. Watching these innocent people get killed is not a sport, nor is it entertainment, nor is it educational.. it is pure vulturism basically. Do you NEED to see someone getting their head chopped off to know that it's WRONG? Do you NEED to listen to someone screaming and gurgling in pain as they are slowly and in the most inhumane way beheaded on film where even their FAMILY could see it? No. Pure and simply, NO. No-one needs to watch it except perhaps the government so that they can hopefully track these bastards down and show them a thing or two about Justice and Retribution. :BangBang: In my opinion, there is NO GOOD REASON to watch these beheadings. :2 cents: |

To each their own, but if you have seen one, and know how horrible they are, is there a definite need to see each one? |
