A great week
 

Just said farewell to two paysite owners. They've been shooting for a week in our studio and now going to Prague to shoot for three days, then to Portugal to shoot for a month.

They're spending a fortune shooting their own content and not cutting corners. The models are on $1,000 a day and they are shooting 2-3 a day, solo girl girl and boy girl.

I learnt a lot about running a paysite by being with them.

First thing was the amount of babysitting members require, forgot password, images/videos not displaying or downloading and lots of other silly enquiries. Seemed to me they were spending 2 hours every day answering questions that were easy to figure out for yourself.

Then the time they spent looking at content providers, hours and hours just browsing what people have, buying some and ignoring a lot. I was surprised at the quality range of stuff out there, from very good to very very bad.

Their belief is that at any time a content provider might sign up a really hot girl who will convert and they do not want to miss out on her, saw one that was stunning, brand new and on one content site with a few sets, they bought her.

Then time spent content correction, updating, improving and general management of their sites. Bloody boring

They spend no time on the boards and little time looking for or baby sitting webmasters. Thinking if the site converts the webmasters will come and stay any way. Both have over 1,000 webmasters.

Neither have been doing this for more than two years and both seem to be making a lot of money, they are spending it here.

Seems more money in Paysites than providing content for them.

I'm thinking I might see if I can twist them into taking me to Portugal. Sun, sea and naked women. Sounds good to me. :1orglaugh

One of the things we talked about was customer service for paysites. Who here would like a service looking after your members and baby sitting them?

You are right about the babysitting part. I personally have found the main reasons are:

AOL: Lots of problems with their damn browser
Newbie: They barely know how to turn on the computer and are paranoid of doing anything wrong
Virus/Spyware: Causing problems that they blame on the website
Lazy: Ooops, doesn't work, damn, paid a whole BUCK for this trial membership...why bother thinking, I'll just give them a call and let them hold my hand and walk me through it.
