Whats a good conversion ratio for galleries?

I think ours are pretty good ... generally around 1:200 - 1:400 (unique) depending on which sites you are sending to..

I'd probably convert your email programs at 1:2 to 1:4...

then you should be promoting them lol

If you can do that on gallery traffic, you should be very rich by now.

Why the groucho face? You said you aren't promoting them.

It depends on the source of your traffic. I've seen anywhere from 1:5,000 visitors to your gallery to 1:100,000. Generally speaking, anything worse than a 1% CRT and a 1:500 ratio would be pretty bad.

I think conversions ratios for anything can be misleading.

If you can get surfers to clickthru 10% AND convert at 1:1000, then that's making you twice as much money as a 1% clickthru and converting at 1:200

A better question IMO would be what's a good sale to unique visitor to gallery ratio (and honestly it's been so long since I've submitted a gallery that I have no idea)

I don't want to sound like a dick, if at all possible, but I was reacting to the "you should be very rich by now" part of your comment. I'm what the English call old money. However, admitting to this online, sounds silly and grotesque so I decided, instead, to emote a funny face :)

(Aside from this, I do ok with galleries, but wont make nearly as much as many MANY folks in here...I wish I did)

I consider everything under 1:500 good for galleries.
