That's not too hard to work out. The guy is extremely mentally unstable and feels that GFY is good publicity for the various 'causes' he runs with. The fact that his campaigns are on nonsense subjects and the obvious ramblings of a maniac matter little to him because he is exactly that - a maniac.
He's also got a fascination with kids, got his fingers caught in the cookie jar so to speak, and seems to feel that constant denials and posted proof (although he never actually posts any proof) on GFY that he isn't will get him off the hook. Again the actions of someone mentally unstable.
But let's face it, when it really gets down to it insanity rarely needs a true reason to do anything.
