personally, I once bought a 1 month membership to Elli's site, and this was the only time I ever spent money on porn (I do doubt that Elli's site is considered PORN)

I bought a $4.95 trial to the Playboy Cyber Club in 2000 and canceled it before the conversion.

when I first got the internet I was on AOL ( this was a long time ago around 1998 ) and I joined an AVS site because I thought it was going to rock. it didn't and I canceled after a day or two. About a year later I joined the voyeurweb redclouds thing for a month. so total I think I've spent $40-$50 on online porn.

Unless they are newbie webmasters or they don't admit that they surf porn.

Or unless you want to see some very niche specific stuff but aren't going to promote that site at all :anon

I have spent a bit, do not feel like pulling out all my tax forms for the past 6-7 years though to find out total.

I need to see the consumer experience. I buy porn to help understand the market. I could often get free memberships, but that often defeats the purpose of them not knowing I am checking them out before I decide if I will become an affiliate.

I think my wife and I spent around $50 total. I still have to hold her back, though... every once in a while she sees a paysite that arouses her curiosity and feels like she just HAS to see what's inside it.

yeah it didn't take me long to understand that it was bad. I think I was with them about 3 months. back then, I don't know if they still do this or have these problems, they would have a pop up every 15 minutes to ask if you were still online andif you didn't click yes they disconnected you. It also often took me 20+ minutes just to not get a busy signal and get online.
