just cleaned up a bunch of nasty shit that Sybot and a few others couldn't handle - adware from lavasoft rocks

the best spyware remover is the command "format c:" :)

Adaware takes 2-3 different scan methods to remove everything

I have been needing to remove spyware from at least 2-3 PCs a day at the day job.. Here is what I have done that works best...


Run AdAware on the entire C: (not just the smart scan).... Then run Spybot, then when you are done with both of those run HiJackthis to clean up anything left. To speed things up be sure to empty your cache and delete all temp files (internet and windows) and remove any old/unused profiles.

Run adaware. Then change your browser to mozilla firefox so you dont have to worry so much about spyware..:Graucho

adaware + spybot + hijackthis best combo eva. :glugglug

SpyBot S&D is also very nice. at least it has very big data about exploits and trojans.

go with ad-aware , i use it 1 time every day and it finds between 25-40 bugs every time... good stuff A+

adware and Spybot. also recommended is Spyware blaster which protects you from being infected in the first place.

the three works well together for maximum protection.
