Should revshare programs have non-credited popups?

This really pisses me off. A revshare program that blatently is popping up non-credited programs.

Does this drive you to stop sending traffic? I almost want to now go somewhere else.

Yup, it's a non-starter.

Corleone 09-19-2004 10:35 AM

Move..! :) Every Program should offer CF Tours...

woj 09-19-2004 10:36 AM

not unless they are paying 70+%... when they are paying over 70% I can probably work with that...

BradM 09-19-2004 10:39 AM

50%. :(

Reak 09-19-2004 10:40 AM

60% and it's allowed to do that.

Not lower.

Lycanthrope 09-19-2004 10:41 AM

Obviously, they can do what they want as it is their program, however, I personally wouldn't promote one that did for two reasons: 1) obviously, no credit for it, 2) if they aren't confident enough that their site will retain that they have to do it, why the hell should I promote them.

Just about any sponsor will give you 60% with no popups, if you shoot them an email and show you are serious about promoting them...

If they are paying you like us, 20 dollars on signup, and 50% on recurring, you don't loose, so I think non-credited popups are justified LOL.

as long as their shave is under 15% im ok with it

I agree you should be paid on the exits when using a revshare program. If you are looking for a quality revshare program that DOES pay on the exit, I have included our 411.

Twisted Cash offers 60% recurring, we pay all the processing fees, and you get 100% credit on our exit.

Kimmykim 09-19-2004 12:30 PM

I'd say read the TOS closely of any program you are going to send traffic to, so you can see what they are disclosing and not. If they disclose the things they pay on up front, then make your decision. If not, then they should be.

At the end of the day, who is sending you the biggest check for the same amount of traffic and in the shortest time? That's who should be getting your traffic :)

BradM 09-19-2004 12:32 PM

Kim.... I a.... oh god how can I say this...
I agree with you? DAMN that was hard to say.

You're 100% right about the cheque thing. However I do have a problem with it. Even a 10% leak means I am losing 10% of my revenue. And you can't get that back.

Sell me more... what sort of niches do you offer etc? I am too lazy to read right now.

I think there should always be a CF promo option on all sites within a revshare program.

Hey it's not that bad of a thing to agree with, it's just common sense.

If people send traffic to a program that has complete disclosure, then as I see it, there's no room to really gripe about them.

Stats and consoles and all that mess weren't the deciding factor for me when I was a webmaster 5+ years ago... it was the size of the checks.

Honestly, I don't care if people shave, cheat, steal and lie, because at the end of the day, a signup is only worth so much. Those that promise you two or three times that amount can't do it without stealing, cheating or lying. I'm not condoning it, I'm just saying the checks will tell the true tale, fuck the rest of it.

I believe in numbers, the ones on my checks. My bank tellers can't tell the difference in a front page unique or an exit console sale ;)

rowan 09-20-2004 12:21 AM

What about uncredited cross sales? I noticed a 50% revshare program had an unchecked cross sale to an external site the other day.

johndoebob 09-20-2004 12:24 AM

I just use revshare without popups/popups that advertise their other sites and give me full credit.

Lots of revshare programs do that.

Personally, I dont like it. I'd have no problems with a revshare program that only popped up 1 console period (non credited). I dont know of any though. All seem to need to popup 2 - 4 consoles.
