Me too. I never really did the "play dress up for the ladies" gig but I did blow a ton of cash on other stuff when I was younger. Glad I've grown out of that.

yeah but at some stage you come to appreciate just being able to be dirt smegging poor and still having the people that love you around. See, I would be a sucky rich person because I would still live in a modest home and shop at the cheap grocery shop. Sure, I might have treats now and then but I have never seen the point on buying the flashy stuff just to have it.

All I want is not to have to worry about working outside the house again and I will be happy with what I am doing. I suck at commutes and I know it.

i spent my entire childhood being poor and appreciating what i did have. so now, i spoil myself from time to time. i'm not the type to buy flashy stuff just for show though.

i'm very frugal. i'll buy the no-name brand at the grocery store because it's 20 cents cheaper than a name brand.

yeah, I didn't mean we have to be poor now but more that it is the people that would stick around if you were that make life worth living.

I am very frugal too. I guess that comes from growing up in a family where you had to be taught to value your money. Also, I see purchases in the number of signups it took to buy it..lol

i'd get a bill for supper and be like "man, that's 3 hours of work right there".

It is always good to set goals and work towards them just once you get there =, don't let things get to your head and ego like it has with some people here.
