marriage is great..or can be...it's the whole traditional wedding bullshit that makes me cringe .

tical 09-18-2004 01:48 PM

what are you doing posting on GFY?!

you should be talking your bro out of it! :)

fris 09-18-2004 01:51 PM

I am thinking, I never want to get married. Like honestly, do you want to wakeup to the same fucking person every day? or would you want some new fresh meat every time? its like eating the same crackers every day for the rest of your life after a while you get tired of the taste, you want something new to eat.

Do u want 2 stay alone after u turn 60, 70???
do u still believe in love?
So u call women fresh meat??? It's so wrong....

I've seen quite a lot of couples that are happy being married. After living 4 so long they still love each other, enjoy each other's company, do new things 4 each other. For example my parents...good example 4 me!!! You'll never get tired of ur wife/husband if you care about each and try to make each other's life full of little surprises!!!:thumbsup

Fris is never lonely. He has two standbys.

He alternates between his left and right hand.

Ritz crackers are good, and you can put different things on them, so that argument doesn't hold water

crockett 09-18-2004 02:41 PM

dose he have pink hair too? btw tell him to run run very fast he still has time..

Have a wonderful day Halcyon and best wishes to your brother and his bride :thumbsup

Rankings 09-18-2004 05:12 PM

lol, thats kinda gay. but congrats to your brother

Mutt 09-18-2004 05:28 PM

all my parents friends are in their 60's and 70's - i'd rather be alone with a pet rat gnawing on my face than spend my last years with some of these old bags. i do have one aunt and uncle that do seem to have had a great marriage. BUT that's like ONE out of 50. I'll take my chances with the pet rat gnawing on my face.

if you are doing ok financially than marriage is worth it, so u get 10 good years in maybe, maybe even 20 - then sayonora. both of you are young enough that u can find replacements. but if you're a working stiff, get ready to live in one bedroom apartment with a hotplate and a TV.

Nanda 09-18-2004 05:47 PM

Marriage is hard, especially when in laws get in the way...different cultures and so on, but if the love is really there it'll work out!

Congrats to your brother, and for you too, since you are happy for him!! That card is very nice!! :thumbsup

Persius 09-18-2004 05:48 PM

I dyed it temporarily black. :)

It was such a perfect day. Thanks for the well wishes!

(And I hope the cynical folks find a partner they connect with like my brother has. Hope I do, too.)
