It does no good to argue with misinformed political debaters.

So fuck it. The 90% of the population that is too idiotic to see what's in front of their face can only be brainwashed, not given actual information to chew on.

Start up the propaganda machine and fuck the facts!

robfantasy 09-18-2004 05:39 AM

what are you debating over stocktrader?

genomega 09-18-2004 08:02 AM

You mean if they're not the facts as stocktrader sees them?

Yes, because stocktrader always votes his party lines regardless of who's running. </sarcasm>

You could have just called them 'Sheep'

both sides are misinformed, thats why they group themselves with a party.

I think some of the republican debaters here just like their tax cuts and hope to wing it on the other issues. :winkwink:

slackologist 09-18-2004 08:08 AM

very true, 90% of people need to feel the hot red demon jism pumping up their ass before they realise they're being fucked.

Babaganoosh 09-18-2004 08:15 AM

I was just thinking about that the other day while I was getting a haircut. My barber is a devoted republican. Whenever I am in there, he has Fox News on. He thinks he's informed because he watches Fox News all day long and reads the local newspaper.

Then, knowing I am an ultra-liberal democrat, he likes to start a political debate with me not realizing that I read news online from at least 4 sources (including the BBC and Al Jazeera), watch several news channels on TV, listen to NPR, read the newspaper, Time Magazine and Newsweek. Then the fat idiot has the nerve to call ME uninformed.

slackologist 09-18-2004 08:16 AM

and the insanely funny thing is that it really doesnt matter who you vote for, it's six of one and half a dozen of the other.

Actually you are 100% right there.
The only excpetion is some of them ( maybe even most) have gone as far as trying to justify that the war and all the other bullshit associated with it was the right thing to do.

Tax breaks is one thing but when the whole country is going to shit and worse then that allows the scummiest 2 bit Texan dumbass which cant even tie his own shoes become president and after all the protest actually let him hold office, it leazves me in bogled state of mind about some of my southern neighbours.

Can they not see whats in front of them or are thye blinded by these tax breaks?

4 more years means of this admin and that will mean a whole lot more 'downhilling', hard to imagine it being worse at this point but I dont think the end is near.

Scary times

I was arguing with my friend the other day, she was debating who she should vote for, and she said she's gonna vote for Bush because he's more "experienced" and he is in the interest for "national security" since America really needs to beef up on security or else we'll be attacked since many countries hate us...
And then she said that Kerry is an idiot because he is inconsistent with his policies and has no experience... I was trying to get her to vote for Kerry, but fuck, I am not too well informed about politics myself to so I couldn't even really think of how to counter-argue... lol

Is that really from Bush though? I thought that was the law in Texas, so it's their state laws and always been like that even before Bush... Could be wrong though

I was just messing around. I don't know if Bush would spit that out of his mouth or not but I wouldn't put it past him at all.

Scary. Seriously, do some reading. Learn who stands for what. What they do if (re)elected. Being uninformed is almost worse than being misinformed. This is a time that everyone with a brain needs to use it and get out and vote.

Highly intelligent and well thoughout post. </bullshit>

God forbid anybody actually have political beliefs that subscribe to either the Democratic or Republican party so they decide to become a Democrat or Republican and go along with their party. Or any other party for that matter.

Hard to imagine that whole mass groups of people actually think about what party is right for them and then join it.

There must be 100 million parties to fit all the different sets of beliefs in the US!

To bad we cannot possibly vote for 100 million canidates for President :)

Easy enough, pick the guy that represents your best interest and vote for him. Nobody agrees 100% of the time on 100% of the issues so you have to pick the one that suites you more than the other.

A country is like a ship.. a large tanker (of fucking morons if you will with a few exceptions ) choose the candidate that is steering it closest toward where you want to go.

Tom_PMs 09-18-2004 08:55 AM

All you have to do is pay attention really. Soon you see that the spin is what people tend to repeat when they havent looked at it close enough.

Lately the buzz is "inconsistent" and people are eating it up at face value.

Tom_PMs 09-18-2004 09:08 AM

As soon as the attention is on fake documents instead of AWOL status, you know theres a problem.

When the women who would have typed the documents says those exact papers arent something she typed, but that she remembers typing ones with essentially the identical information, and that the information in them is accurate and well know at the time.. the headline reads "she says they're fake", and the focus is off.

Now it's up to you to pull out the information thats important to your decision.

When the white house repeatedly tells you that all the documents were previously released, then a judge orders the pentagon to search. The pentagon says they're lost or destroyed, then finds them and releases them and says thats all they have. Then more come out. Then more come out. Then more come out. The headline is on the recent gallup poll results.

It's up to you to pull out the information thats important to your decision there too.

And thats just one side of the aisle.

What it boils down to is choosing the lesser of two evils. Voting for someone who doesn't have even the slightest chance of being elected is basically wasting your vote. There are only two candidates who actually stand a chance of being elected. Of those two, Kerry is clearly the better choice.

To be honest, I don't really have a huge problem with Bush. While I do think he's an idiot, my problem is with his administration.
