Best all around luxury/sporty car in this range...
I have been looking at the Mercedes c230wz.
What is in the 29-36k range that is not only sporty to drive, good on gas but a real nice comfy luxury vehicle? I can only really think of the BMW 318. I haven't looked into it much though. What do you elite know it all fuckers think? I am looking for more options. |
For the low end of those cars you'll have to load it up with options for it to be any good

Name doesn't matter. I just want the nicest car possible. Good cornering, heavy on the ground easy to manouver etc.
|
in any case your best bet would me the BMW 3 series. IMO

But I just bought a 2004 z71 Silverado for around $30k, leather, 6 disc changer, xm radio, heated seats, extended cab, onstar, all that stuff

I like
http://www.edmunds.com/new/2005/chry...nt.num10 .0.* Luxury and performance. But with a v8 and a 5.7 i dont know how good gas will be |

Edmunds is great. Be sure to get a print out of the lowest price on edmunds before you go to the dealership. Even though edmunds prices are normally a few g's lower than they should be, when you show the guy the print out, he will drop the price. Trust me. I tried it and :thumbsup |
i'd say a late 80's early 90's honda CRX

If you want to have a car that everybody and their mother drives, waste your money on a new 3-series. As for Benz's, you have to figure that they require a LOT of $ down and $ to maintain, so that seems out of the question.
Consider a used Inifiti Q45, Lexus LS 430, BMW 7-series (or even a brand new fully loaded Nissan Maxima). They are all flagship/top-of-the-line models for their respective companies, very pimp indeed, and if you get one that's at least 2-3 years old, it will be super affordable because of all the depreciation. It's also much more fun driving a top of the line car from a luxury car company than it is to drive a low-end model from an ultra-luxury company. Good luck on your car pimping endeavors. |

stay away from the c class benz. quality wise they're complete shit.
if you want the best bang for your buck get a 3 series from about 4 years ago. fuck new cars and depreciation. |
stick to riding bicycles kid

Older 3 series kick ass. I don't REALLY like the new style. |

Veri: Good call :)
|
I'd say the Lexus IS300, but it doesn't come in a 6 spd... 350z/G35 Coupe is another good choice.
318i? Get something with some displacement, you can pick up a 330ci a few years old in your price range ;) |
Don't really NEED a 6spd I don't think. Only ever had 5s anyways.
|
get what I got.. bmw 330ci 5speed, u will thank me later TRUST ME -)

Id go with a bmw 330xi, it gets around 20mpg i think and if you wait until november you can probably pick one up at under 30k if you search around with the right dealerships

2001 is getting older these days. I told myself I wont buy used anymore, and the new ones are on like 37k |
if u buy used one from dealership they will give u warranty up to 100,000 miles...
but if you thinking buying brand new car, you can forget about benz/bmw unless you want the shittiest and slowest model |

There's your answer. I love my baby and it drives like a fuckin dream. if you want the luxury version, get a G-35. Wait until the 2005 models arrive and get it at 300 HP. :thumbsup |

I think youŽll have to drop the gas criteria.. What about these:
Volvo S60 t5 (a bit dull but really a good car) Jag XK8 (high running costs and price is falling) MB CLK 320 ( a bit old but really nice to drive and quite cheap) |
