Why are so many non surfers here using gmails accounts?
 

Creepy + data mining + webbased + looks like you're a surfer.

If you want a decend secure non data mining freemailer go for hushmail,ziplip or similiar, but better get a domain you use for mailing. :2 cents:

I don't want a decent secure non data mining freemailer. I want a disposable junk mail address which I will never use for anything even remotely important, and I don't care if I look like a surfer to people using this email address.

Bingo. Or an email address to use with some of my family and friends who aren't aware of what I do. Nothing like sending an email to grandma from [email protected]

i just started using gmail and it's just one of 5 emails i have ...it's the only webbased one i use and i think it's a great throw away account....i can postit on the boards and give it to new people that i don't want in my everyday mail....the features are great..the way it keeps all the replys in the same email is nice.

I would say that anyone who is worried about their reputation when using gmail needs to get a life.

I use gmail because then I am not posting or giving out my domain based email to everybody.

gmail is quick and simple, i like it alot more than pop3 - plus it leaves my real email address with a lot less spam
