Google funnies

Anyone else have any good "google fucked me" stories?

here's a funny thing google did to us

We had an email harvestor on the front of our site -- it said "Join our newsletter! You will not leave this site or be spammed!" -- google spidered my site and decided to use "representative text" -- that said "Ls-university.com.... leave this site or be spammed!"

You can find a shitload of CC numbers on google. Of course, I didn't find that out myself, I read it this morning on Yahoo news. :2 cents:

Thankfully, the SEC denied the company?s first attempt at registering shares. My hunch is the SEC recognized this for the disaster that it was sure to be and pulled the plug at the last minute. The Dutch auction concept, while admirable, alienated the entire professional community. The unsuspecting individual investor, had the company priced at anticipated levels, would have been in for a rude surprise. I really don?t think I was the only one who would have recommended shorting shares at the opening had they proceeded as planned.

Ok, here's a good one. Reading Google News I get a link to an article entitled "Google Search Reveals Credit-Card Numbers". Clicking on it, I get a link on how to do a credit card number lookup on Google (example: 4050000000000000..4050999999999999 visa) and get these results: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...9999999+vi sa

How great that Google News is giving away how to do a Google lookup to get exposed credit card numbers. LOL
