IM GONNA SHOOT MY COMPUTER!! Someone please help me out!
 

ive been scanning and scanning this freakin computer for spyware for 2 days,, i got rid of the web dialer, but i cant get rid of this browser hijacker

every time i boot up,, 3 dos promts open up and do some shit into my temp directory

when i open the browser it goes to some s-redirect bullshit and usually goes to http://realsearcher.com/?aid=31274


i tried adaware, spy doctor, spy hunter and spy sweeper,, and i also booted to safe mode and did a full scan with norton... i cant get rid of this shit,,,, usually in a case like this,, i format,, but i have too much shit on my computer....


if anyone has any software that they have used,, and can post it,, i would really appreciate it,,,

I feel your pain. Have you tried using Hijackthis and going through all the stuff it brings up?

Also get as many details about this problem as you can and start search around google and groups.google.

Sometimes it can take hours to figure stuff like this out. A real fuck'n hassle.

i had a problem about a year and a half ago and since then i've started doing weekly CD backups. :glugglug

be careful when you get your new HD that it doesn't get infected from your old HD.

and as a side note i just picked up a 120 gig from circuit city for 90 bucks with a 50 dollar rebate. 7200 rpm.

Most of the world is using PCs. Ya got to see what your traffic sees!! It is different on a Mac.

I'd try hijackthis before doing the reformat. Google engineers will help if you send them the hijackthis output. Be sure to tell them you set google has your default page :thumbsup

Fucking spyware is what's going to start turning people away from the internet. It's getting out of hand. Becuase of spyware, people already asume all pornsites are spyware ridden

hijack this should help.

If the infection is fairly recent, use system restore and go back a restore point prior to the infection. This pretty much works for me every time :thumbsup

Lace, there is a smartass from a certain eastern country that will remain nameless but use to be referred to as USSR that has found a hole in a popular TGP script, and is using that hole to add a 1X1 IFRAME on the bottom of many TGP's pages. That frame opens an exploit, and then installs a pretty endless list of shit on your system.

Mark my words - assholes like that will be one of the reasons that this business dies online - because the surfers won't trust adult websites anymore.

That and Bush / Ashhahahahaha, but that is another story altogether.

if its opening dos promts it most likely a bat file. If that program doesn't remove it take a look in your registry or msg config for any bat files that start up

I've been getting a lot of alerts, luckily my programs have been blocking them :)

Did you try a system restore? I just reset it a few days/weeks earlier and it usually gets rid of most spyware issues.
