What should I do in Orlando?
 

So I'm going to Orlando in about a week with my wife...we're staying in Downtown Disney and hitting All 4 Disney Parks, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Studios. That leaves nights free plus a few days, as we'll be there for 9 days. Any suggestions?

This is the first time I've been back to Orlando in quite a few years. I'm not reallly into the ghey Disney parks but Laura is.

for nightlife check out Universal City Walk ... lots of bars and cool things to do..

Also there's Disney's Paradise Island i think it's called... fireworks/new years celebration every night there, comedy clubs, good foods and bars...

also there's Church Street Station which has good shopping and nice clubs/atmosphere at night..

all of this is in o-town

Drive an hour down to the gulf coast just outside of tampa - little place there called Siesta Key is one of my favorite spots in central FLA - pristine powder white sand beaches, very quaint and mellow. Huge contrast to the crapfest that is Orlando. :2 cents:

Church street has a few bars but there are clubs and bars all up Orange Ave. which runs perpendicular to Church Street. Also check the streets parallel to Church, such as Wall St. There's nothing south of Church St, so go north on Orange to check out all these other places. All walking distance from Church.

Also check out Roxy - http://www.roxyorlando.com - this is a few minutes away from Downtown and probably my favorite club in Orlando.

Also there's Pointe Orlando - http://www.pointeorlandofl.com -which has restaurants, bars, clubs, and shopping.

leave the wife at the theme parks at night since she likes them so much - hookers and cigars for you off Disney property.
