Kerry has pulled even in the poll!

I KNOW it's already been posted. But I'm so HAPPY to see this news I thought it needed a second post!
------------------------
WASHINGTON - The GOP convention gave President Bush a double-digit lead, but the race has settled into a virtual tie with voters still worried about the economy and Iraq, according to polling by the Pew Research Center.

The first of two national polls by Pew, done Sept. 8-10, reflected the president's post-convention bounce. Bush was ahead of Democrat John Kerry 52-40 among registered voters and by an even wider margin, 54-39, among likely voters, a narrower group.

By the second poll, done Sept. 11-14, the Bush lead had evaporated. In that poll, Bush and Kerry were knotted at 46 percent among registered voters. Among likely voters, Bush was at 47 percent and Kerry at 46 percent.

Ok..I'm really curious. I see a lot of posts from people that APPARENTLY are Kerry supporters, but say what you say: "I'm afraid you're right". But no one ever explains WHY they think this way.

WHY do you, a Kerry supporter I'm guessing, THINK Bush will win no matter what the polls may say?

scoobydookc 09-16-2004 04:48 PM

Right... the poll swung 7 points in one day.... I believe it.

By the way, I'm taking my own poll, besides the one I'm taking, has ANYONE ever POLLED YOU?

Secondly, Kerry will lose, he was destined to by his own party.

Hillary Clinton in 2008, YEY!

However, ALL of the polls except the first one (which is about 1 week old) show Kerry picking up ground on Bush. My fear is that he would have to wait until the debates to do this..but obviously not.

YEA!

You missed the "and by an even wider margin, 54-39" part. The narrow part refers to the size of the likely voters group.

ronbotx 09-17-2004 04:37 AM

OOPs sorry; in the latest Gallup poll, Friday, Bush has a B I G G E R lead of 13 points....

If Bush wins, this country is in trouble. There will be more war, more terrorism, and a lot more dead Americans.

I love this lie about Bush supporters being rednecks (its almost as good as the lie that liberals are the more "intellectual")

pick out the rednecks in the picture below:
http://www.glennbeck.com/picoftheday/09-17-04-pod.jpg
"""Three-year-old Sophia Parlock cries while seated on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, after having their Bush-Cheney sign torn up by Kerry-Edwards supporters on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, WV."""

hate to burst your liberal loser bubble but that was either a short lived bump or just a faulty poll.
here's one conducted Sept. 13-15 (quite a bit more recent than your poll)
showing a 13 point Bush lead among likely voters.

The guy's an asshole... has nothing to do with being a liberal. When a few idiotic conservatives bomb abortion clinics, should we say they're representative of all conservatives?

I agree with you for the most part, but let's at least be honest about a few things. Most rednecks do happen to be conservatives... and most intellectuals do happen to be liberals (although, not necessarily democrats). You can't say that the inverse is true, though... most liberals are NOT intellectuals, and most conservatives are NOT rednecks.

Bansheelinks 09-17-2004 07:11 AM

Reality Check folks:

http://www.electoral-vote.com/

this is the definitive look at the election as this guy is exhaustive in his state by state poll reporting and he has Bush ahead in the electoral vote count by Kerry 211 Bush 307

but its swinging wildly lately after Kerry had a solid lead for over 2 months everyday.........but as you know, the Dems had a shitty August and now Bush leads

its up to Kerry to fight his way back in state by state otherwise Bush will get in again and stack the Supreme Court, and if you think things are bad now, just wait if he puts another "Scalia" on the SC..............then the draconian purge and bloodletting of US adult webmasters will really pick up steam

you are so fucking disingenuous its sickening. please go find the proof that abortion clinic bombers are conservative. Conservatives don't believe in bombings. It's also sickening that you have to reach back over 10 years to defend the liberal transgressions of today.

Liberals on the otherhand constantly turn violent in big numbers.
But you keep on pointing out one mans actions, pretending he's a conservative, and then equating it to what hundreds of others are doing.
I'm sure you're being very intellectual when ignoring the WTO protesters, union thugs, violent liberal protesters everywhere and the thugs who rip signs out of little girls hands.

No danny, dime store liberals like yourself call conservatives rednecks but the opposite is true (as my picture clearly illustrates) and liberals *call* themselves intellectuals but the reverse is true.
