I think tonight I'm going to start on a new script, to auto ping them once per minute and if it goes say 10 minutes with no response, change my join pages to another sponsor, then when they are pingable again, change them back.

I took a week off from gfy (and everything) last week and doubled my traffic, and was tracking for a double the money week also... this shit always happens when my stuff it at its peak :(

JohnnyUtah 09-16-2004 12:32 PM

I thought about doing that as well but it kinda scared me to have join pages rotated automatically.

Aint that the truth. I use very simple pages for my cam sites and luckily I have an "index-2.html" waiting just in case something goes down. Also my main page is framed into some of my other sites so they all change at once. Downtime sucks.

yeah but I direct all the join links on my pages, to a join.php on my server which then sends the surfer to tcg's join page, so I dont have to change links on hundreds of pages when stuff goes down, just a couple of pages have to be changed.

I do that too now, just the feeling of having a script decide to redirect traffic based on ping failure makes me uneasy.
