Anyone sent their Rolex back to Switzerland for service yet

One of mine is approaching the 5 year mark, so to keep the warranty good I have to send it back to Switzerland to get rebuilt. Anyone done this before? How long does it usually take?

it cost 1k for "service" ? ? that you have to have in order to keep the warranty.

I'm small pimpin so please explain that shit

ztik 09-15-2004 11:17 PM

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just have it rebuilt when it stopped working?

Why not take it to Switzerland yourself? It's a beautiful country.

why would you send it to switzeland ?? There are authorised dealers in the US who will do the job just as well for a lot less. If it aint broke dont fix it. A cleaning of the watch by a competent repair guy should not cost more than about 250 and thats including resealing it and testing it for being waterproof:2 cents:

eiht_98 09-16-2004 02:22 AM

$1000 just for service...damn...that watch had a lot of problems if $1000 fixed them

You're 21..so you bought your Rolex when you were 16?

JFK 09-16-2004 02:48 AM

and by the way ...... there is only a one year warranty with any new rolex, no such thing as having to service it to keep the warranty valid. After one year your original warranty expired Every time you service the watch they will give you , or should give you a new one year warranty:2 cents:
