Is there a ROLFER in the house??
YOOO!
Dunno what the fuck is up with my lower back, but for a couple weeks now it's been killing me. After self diagnosis thanks to the internet :1orglaugh , I have come to the conclusion that slouching over my desk at the computers for the past 10 years has finally got to my back. Never had back pains before, but it's not getting any better so it's time to seek help. Iv'e heard not to trust many chiropracters, so I am going to see a ROLFER tomorrow. Anyone been? |
Someone told me a funny joke and I ROTFL'd. Is that the same?
|
Lol, I always type "ROLF" instead of "ROFL".
|
it's a real thing... i think. sounds kinda hippiesh but sounds legit. lol

ROFL get a new good chair

Try some back exercises or a physiotherapist if it's really bad. If I understand it correctly, rolfing is just heavy massage that bruises the muscle tissue...

if all it is .. is your back is out of alignment, you don't have to go to a chiropracter, you can fix that yourself, I do it all the time
you lay on your side.. leg on the bed side straight (as if standing) other leg raised (like you're sitting in a chair) hold knee of bent leg down on the bed with opposite hand, then twist as if you're trying to lay on your back, keeping the bent leg's knee down on the bed with your hand. This will twist your spine at your lower back and align it. I do this to my family and myself whenever we have lower back pain from whatever. I learned this going to the chiropracter, and said to myself.. geeze.. why am I paying him to do this? I would only suggest doing this if you know you don't have any other problems with your spine. Or maybe you shouldn't do it at all.. please don't sue me.. :1orglaugh |
Rolfing might not be what you need right yet.... thats for major injuries and/or years of chronic pain
if you can...find a sports massage therapist... or a neuromuscular therapist.. they won't just do the feel good swedish massage Its most likely that the muscles above your pelvis and under your ribs are really tight.. which leads to lower back pain... also.. could be from sitting... the muscles under the glutes.. called piriformis can get really tight also causing lower back pain... take baths.. try and sweat every day and drink more water... move around more often and do the stretches Tia mentioned .... |
i knew i could find some sort of remedy from you people. thanks for all th etips!
ps. I wont sue any of you/ |
I heard Rolfing is gross. They beat the shit out of you and they shove their fingers up your nose. I heard its a violent treatment
