Had to evacuate
Just hanging out here in J'ville in a hotel room, driving myself nuts watching the weather channel. Hope I still have a home when I return to Pensacola. Damn hurricane Ivan fucking shit up. Anyone else had to evacuate from New Orleans, AL, MS, or FL?

Stayed for Frances. The hurricane itself had its frightening moments, but the worst part was not having power or places to go for a week. And the curfews every night at 8PM were a real pisser.
We didn't get flooding, but loads of trees are gone for good. |
Man you people have had it bad this year..relentless :(

They say it's supposed to hit Mobile Bay. It's still a 4 as of right now. Ivan is about 60 miles away from touch down. I just hate that we are on the East side of the storm. Ivan's spitting out tornados like crazy in FL. We got a generator, but hopefully we won't have to use it. Stocked up on plenty of food, washed up all the clothes, filled the bath tubs with water, boarded the windows, filled up a 55 gallon barrel with gas. Bolted the garage door down and left town.

just stay safe....:)

Well good luck to all of you guys.
Please let us all know how things go. :thumbsup |
I'm over 400 miles away from the storm right now in Jacksonville FL. We left last night. Traffic wasn't too bad. Just bored out of my mind in the hotel room. I need to find a bar.
