How can I make sure I have USB 2.0?
I have a Dell Inspiron 5100 I picked up around Dec 2003.
I go into System Information click on USB in system summary and it has... Intel(r) 82801DB/DBM USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller - 24CD PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_24CD&SUBSYS_24C08086&REV_02\3&61A AA01&0&EF does that mean I'm good to go with USB 2.0? Thanks in advance :) |
Just plug into one.
That is the best way to see if it works with the system. Anyway I think that all of them are.20 now |
dude, my cousin totally fucked up ALL 4 of my home machines USB ports. I have no idea what the fuck he did but ALL front loading USB ports are no longer active!
And they all stopped working after he used them. Everytime I turn my machine on it detects new hardware but I have no idea what USB driver to use I've reinstalled EVERY USB driver and nothing works. |
use google.
"drive (our review system shipped with a DVD/CD-RW combo drive). The right edge includes a 56Kbps modem jack, while the rear edge provides S-Video out, VGA, FireWire, Ethernet, two fast USB 2.0 ports and the grill for a big fan that keeps all of the components cool." |
