Fucking VEGAN cat food?? WTF?!

I don't know whether to laugh my ass off or be incredibly angered. I'll go for both.

I have no issue with people who choose to be vegan. That's your choice, and I respect that. But cats and dogs are not meant to live off of vegetable matter. They are built to digest MEAT. That would explain all the sharp, shiny, POINTY teeth. Forcing them to have a diet of nothing but plants (and plant-based products) is nothing short of abusive in my eyes.

WTF? :feels-hot

living things were given sharp teeth for a reason....

Rob 09-15-2004 02:46 PM

That's too much!!! :1orglaugh

My favorite part is: Gourmet Entrée (formerly Peas & Avocado)

Manowar 09-15-2004 02:47 PM

for every vegan meal they eat, i'll eat 2 steaks to make up for it.

Aly-Python 09-15-2004 02:48 PM

EEK! I can't open the link to see the full deal, but that seems TOTALLY dodgy!

I think my own cat would eat me in my sleep if I tried something like that!

Leave it to some arrogant monkeys to change the natural order of things..

My cats would scratch my balls of while I'm sleeping.

When you purchase slaughterhouse products, you are increasing the profitability of animal slaughter by contributing directly to the consumer demand for its products. In so doing, you are undermining the goals of the pro-animal movement and contributing to animal cruelty in a way that is equally as direct and meaningful as if you were buying hamburgers.

A pretty decent rebuttal if you ask me. :2 cents:

Thats one of those fucking stupid things created by retarded people in this world.

ShellyCrash 09-15-2004 03:40 PM

You know, the irony of it all is anyone who was a true animal rights activist wouldn't believe in animal domestication in the first place.

So the message they are sending is it's okay to subject a cuddly kitten or puppy to human bondage, but for god's sake, force them to eat vegitables!

I have a sore spot for this stuff. I try not to eat meat, and have at times gone over a year on just veggies, but as my own perogative, not because of some BS movement.

I really felt bad for Keiko the whale, the one from Free Willy. He was completely domesticated when they let him go, but he kept swimming to port towns because he was lonely. They raised him to crave affection, and then they sent him out into the world alone, and kept trying to push him away from people. As a result he got sick and died. Nice one. You can't reverse domestication. I think alot of the time people get so rabid in their activism that they lose sight of the soul they are trying to help.

Next time you have some over zeallous vegan breathing down their throat thell them they can't watch movies or TV because it's filmed on cellulose- a product of hoves / bones, like gellatin. Just my :2 cents:

FilthyRob 09-15-2004 03:43 PM

My sisters cat eats mostly veggies and fruits. That's what she will eat. I you put a piece of fruit in one bowl and a piece of fish in the other, the freaking cat would eat the fruit.

block 09-15-2004 03:45 PM

Cats are carnivores and stuff, but you know people are vegans because of the way they treat animals... so it is somewhat understandable... though I like meat and will always eat it :D

GatorB 09-15-2004 03:47 PM

Ok first of all if they let the cat outside it can eat all the meat it wants. it's go catch some mice or whatever.

Anyways I believe that cat food is not for cats but for old people.
