Ok where do i start, i opened an account yesterday and the first thing they do is take out 50$ out my bank which isn't a problem, then looking through their service and to found out that there is no way to transfer money of your account to the bank which really sucks, sent several email to support which go no respond and the funny thing on top of that is they CHARGE YOU TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT.

They have ACH withdrawl to your US bank account.

i think their exchange rates are crazy too... I don't get it but when I ATM'ed money today they had a rate of 1.277 while the official rate is at 1.228

so for almost $500 I got ?380 in return... I've emailed support about it before but they never gave an explanation. Ah well what can you do, PayPal is a no-no and other than that there is no widely acceoted paysystem. :(

We were also thinking of opening up a business account, but with such great support i think we will take our chances with paypal. Thanx again and i will never use your service any type of business again.

You might find that difference in exchange rate is due to the banks involved in the transaction and not ePassporte.

We lose a similar amount here and it always seems to correspond with the exchange rate at which our bank buys foreign currency.

Okny - have you looked in your email account at ePassporte - for some reason they only seem to reply in there.

I will just wait another day till i might get a response or better yet maybe i should have them take another 50$ out of my bank account for the hard work that it will take to responding to an email.

hmmm I just checked the local exchange services and it seems you're right, why is there such a large difference between official exchange rates (which I follow on text tv everyday) and the actual rate?

oh well i guess the USD rate is just fucked nowadays... i wonder when it will pull up again coz this is ridiculous.

No more costs on checks I can just withdraw the money from an atm.

Probably two reasons - one is that the bank obviously wants to make a profit and the other is that it acts as a hedge.

They buy it from you but they may not be able to sell it for the same amount .

It sucks for us too - but at least the exchange rate is still good against the Aussie dollar.

Oh for someone to make a banana republic statement about Australia again.

The last time that happened the exchange rate fell to the point where we were getting 2 AU dollars for every 1 US dollars.

some guys said they can pay me only thru epassporte, I said: "ok, whatever lets give them a try" . I sent them an e-mail , 1 week passed, no one answered.

moneybookers is the way to go, I have an account there for 2 years, had some problems (2 actually) which were fixed in less than 24 hours... go figure.
