Setting up a LLC
I live in Canada (drama) and need to set up a LLC (to be able to accept Visa through CCBill). My in laws live in Indiana, so it could be possible..
What do I need to do?! Thanks ;) LC |
you should buy company

Look into local laws.
If you live in Canada, and you're depending on your LLC for VISA biz, I wouldn't fuck around with the Indiana thing....IMO I got all my LLC paperwork online with the state government and did the work myself. Cost was $85. I know paralegals that'll do the same work for $400. I know lawyers that charge $800+ for the same work. Hope this helps. |
I used http://www.delawareinc.com back in '98 and everything went perfectly... but I think a lot has changed since 9/11 and it may not be so simple :(

Thanks guys
Is this all about taxes? How do you guys manage the taxes that u pay ? LC |
Is there another way I could charge using Visa on my website?

please someone! I need this info! ;)

You might want to choose a more friendly state :2 cents:
If you choose another state, you will need a registered agent in that state. Try http://www.bizfilings.com |

Both iBill and CCBill cover most Euro countries and if you don't want to pay taxes in them, just go for a non tax country and pay taxes when you pull funds into Canada. That's the simplified version, but sure is an opt-out of having to deal with US laws and taxes. |
Try ECommerceGlobal.com - you don't have to be a LLC to accept Visa - Check out this link-

Tell your parents to get a lawyer
pay him/her $ 400.00 Takes only a few days You need Your SS# Your local address (Indiana) Once that is done you get your EIN Number Than your relatives go to the local courthouse and get a business License for Online Sales only, no walk in location Take license to bank Show your Drivers License/SS# Get Account Contact CCbill OK, that's the legitimate way,, Now, I don't know how many other ideas float around on the board, some legit, some not.. I am only telling you the legit way, so you don't have problems at the end of the year with the IRS because they are going to want a tax return from you. During the year your accountant might advise you to pay estimated income tax (we don't, we take the money and put it into a savings account, because our income fluctuates each year and I don't want to over pay) Figure 15% of your net income each month is tax Good luck to you |
I picked Delaware to start my first company, however, for the last one I just did it in the state I stay, seems alot easier, plus don't have to remember to pay 134 dollars to an agent in that state.

Two more services.
Not just to get it done, but to read some FAQs about the benefits of each kind of business entity and the requirements http://www.corporatecreations.com/ http://www.smallbiz.com/ :2 cents: |
Why don't you consult an accountant?
