Any of you own auction sites ?
 

Being a big nerd I'm going to start one for MMORPG users to auction thier shizzle. Made me curious if anyone here owned any niche auction houses.

i used to own one, it was hard to run and get new members, i didnt make any money until i closed the site down and redirected all traffic to ebay lol

Ebay hasnt allowed the selling of everquest characters for a year now so someone already has a site like I described no doubt. But I could make listings free for a long time. I'm sure it doesnt take up much bandwidth, but what about servers? It requires some power eh ?

putting together a niche auction site myself right now. its pretty expensive to get into.

my friend sells his lineage characters, he was explaining to me how the gold in the game even carries over its value to real world money. Something like 3 million gold is 40 bucks lol. Seems like it could be a pretty good auction site.

Yea, thats how it works. However, the site linked above is amazing and still not very popular. hmm...
