I read where they've asked residents to evacuate the city!
Man oh man..didn't realize how badly things could get if Ivan does a direct hit on "The Big Easy!"

Yeah..I just saw the same thing on a local tv stations website here in Seattle. Shit!!

You know what's really sad is they are telling to evacuate inland, but this storm is so large and powerful they said it will maintain hurricane force winds for at least 12 hours once its inland.

Is it back up to category 5?

In any case, I don't think people realize the incredible tragedy that's about to take place in Louisiana and the surrounding lowland there.

This could be one of the worst natural disasters ever.

Its expected to increase some more.

I went through Frances, and I can't begin to imagine going through something with 2 times the ferocity of that one which IVan is.

One of my friends had the windows blow out on the 8th floor of an office building that was "supposed" to be hurricane proof.

Yup, I'm still here. Looks like Ivan's headed right for us with every tracking update. I'm not too worried .... yet.
