I think speed dating is a poor concept- I agree that some people you can tell the second they open their mouth that you dislike them, but everyone puts up a front to some degree the first time you're meeting them.

I don't know if it was in a movie, or if I read it somewhere, but someone once said when you first meet someone, you aren't really meeting them, you're meeting their "representative". Does anyone remember where that's from?

Now you made me go ahead and sign up. Although I don't think I would do well at the speed dating thing, at least I got to write up a pretty decent resume and this web site seems to double as a dating site also, with the added bonus of the physical location where you get to meet in a safe environment..I think..

The more I think about it the more I'm pretty sure it's a movie, but it's totally true. The way I look at it you don't REALLY know somebody until you've lived with them, but as far as I'm concerned for me to go out somewhere one on one with someone, I want to be pretty sure they aren't a psychopath.:2 cents:
