Blogging kicks ass. Because the content changes daily, google spiders it daily, which sets you a bit higher in the listings.

As for other methods, I really can't honestly say one way or another. I'm not really sure myself, since I don't focus on surfers. I'm a webmaster-type. :)

Whatever you find that works, stick with it! $$ is very nice :)
