We don't have any. Anybody is free to start their own church, mosque or school. In not too long from now, th eonly minority we have here are genuine dutch folks like Marie, Battus and me.

I don't think I can put some of them in my paper. LOL. What do you think about the education quality over there? Is is the same here, the more $$ the better quality and opportunity you have?

It is at least as good, only cheaper.

It depend on what level you are thinking though. I'm sure Harvard i sbetter than some universities here. On the other hand, many Americans come and study here in my city. We have the oldest Uni in the country.

More money does not really give you a better opp. here, that is an Amercan thing.

the quality of education is probably better, but going downwards these days.

One of the unique features of dutch eduction is 'streaming' in highschool years, which means students are preselected for college or university by the age of 12 (when they enter highschool). The lowest level (~60%) prepares for mainly manual labour or jobs like secretaries. The more advanced level prepares for something comparable to college (~20%). Only the top level students (~20% devided over athenaeum and gymnasium) can attend university. Exchange between levels is possible and happens.

well here are my answers the way I see it:

Taboos
No big ones like the US has, maybe priests and little kids, but that's about it

Music
Hardhouse/Techno/House/Club and urban + rock for the younger generation crappy local dutch music (sounds like schlagers??) for the old folks

Typical Diet/Nutrition
Some typical dutch food is boerenkool met rookworst, haring and other fish

Recreation
I doubt it's any different than the US

Clothing Stlyes
Pretty good (where I live) Most younger people wear expensive brands older people are a bit worse though

Minority Groups
No real big ones, maybe in smaller communities, where they hardly see some foreign dude walking by..

Hmm not much tabboo's here. But recently a political dude was fired because he went to the hookers. So even when it's legal, not everything is socially accepted

Music
Just like US, techno, R&B and some pop shit.
Also some Dutch singers are becoming poluar nowadays(more then in past)

Typical Diet/Nutrition
Well we eat rew fish called HARING :-)(with raw onions btw)

As breakfast most eat bread with cheese and coffee. In the midday, same, and evening most ppl eat diner around 7-8PM. Vegetables, some meat, and patatoos is most common.

Recreation
Fishing, biking(bicycle) walking

Younger ppl like me of course disco, drinking etc

Clothing Stlyes
Not really a style. No wooden shoes anymore tho :D

Minority Groups
No realy minorities anymore. When I walk in Amsterdam I feel the white do become a minority :1orglaugh

But that is outside big cities not the case.
