Domains are like property. The house you live in is unique. The domain you own is also unique. I work in the adult biz, also run a strip club, do construction, loans, and lots more. When I read Taboos threads, I got interested in domains. So, for me at least, I do it because it's a little like online game. I like to wrack my brain on good names, or buy them, and see if I can sell them. So far I've only had 4 sales, but it's been more fun than getting 400 sponsor sales. :) :2 cents:

The problem with asphyxiafetish.com is staying out of prison after shooting content for the site :)

Ok, but I'd rather have 400 sponsors sales then 4 sales of domains with like $150 profit.

I simply wouldn't bother with such small domains.

Sure, I can register a name for $6.95 and try to sell it here for $30, but most likely noone will buy it and people will just laugh at me.

There are worse things then being laughed at. If you could do 5 a day, it would be a living for some people.

I can see your point. But I don't think I'm making my point very clear. I don't truly need the money from domains. It is a game. If people laugh at me, that's ok. I'm having fun. 400 sponsor sales is really as easy as 4 domain sales . . . but both are harder than having an admin system running offline business for me, or simply collecting rent. I'm not trying to brag, just trying to make it clear than I can enjoy what I do and not care or take seriously the taunts of nay-sayers (not that I put you in this category, you are one of the intelligent posters on this board).

Yeah, daily an extra $150 would be very cool for sure.

I just meant that it is unlikely that you can register a few names today for $7 each and sell them for more tommorow.

That would be too easy and you would just have to spam GFY ( or another board ) every day doing it.

I see the value in domains, but I'd rather spend $10k on a relatively good type-in domain than bother with names liek the ones that were posted in this thread.
