The 11PM EST update just moved Ivan westward again. Its projecting now to hit near New Orleans with 130 MPH winds and 25ft waves.

Lots of pets were displaced and made homeless from Hurricane Charley and Frances and were flown by volunteers up to Atlanta Shelters.

My wife's grandmother lives just out side (Metarie) of NO and her aunt and uncle live on the north side of the lake (Poncitrane, did I spell that right??) in Sildelle.

Needless to say, they've been through it before, but it is a little unnerving....

I hope nothing happens to grandma's house... we need a free place to stay for Mardi Gras......

I just got off the phone with a family member from Metairie, she said that the wind is already picking up over there....

I haven't been outside yet today, so I don't know how it feels here... But if she says they're picking up there, then they'll be picking up here soon if they haven't already started to...
