I'm about to scream.
How the goddamn hell do I turn off the motherfucking "highlight everything in God's creation" when I click in my code in Dreamweaver MX??
My laptop has not yet gone for a long flight off a long pier, but I'm ready to scream and hurt things. :feels-hot Damn my redheaded temper. |

The highlighting for me is in everything: text docs, websites, html, etc... it highlights key words and stuff and makes them links to random stuff. Anyway, duh to me! :) |
Try rebooting - Dreamweaver can be a memory hog and if it has been a day or two since you rebooted you may just need to reboot it to free up some memory.

it only should highlight when you click the visual display part of the editor...when your just working in the code it is fine, but the second you click the background or a table in the preview, it will take you to that portion of your code and highlight it. Atleast thats how mine works....

than scream loud

Guys, If you think you have a virus in the computer, run your antivirus, then go to this site
housecall.trendmicro.com Run their web based antivirus program It will most likely find things yours did not. HP send customers to them. I have them on my desktop, and they are the best. If neither one finds anything, then try reinstalling the DW program. |
Oh, Also. if you have spybot on your computer, put the teatimer on so that you have to approve registry changes.
That way a virus can not get completely set up, in most cases. |
