This thread just came to my atention
Actualy it has some logic in it.

Lets suppose the following.
I setup a contest offering a 100K site (possible 200K) and dont demand refs.

So You find the board signup and post like a madman and win becouse theres only 100-200 members registered, but since you were the first person to find the board you have a 2-6 weeks advantage on posting.
So this is a demand to have serious competition.
