is there any other MP3 player out there with at least 1Gb of space and cheaper than the Ipod. 10Gb is way too much for $350

I was just looking at this, thinking about ordering one.

2 blank cd's - $0.40

True... ipods and such are really cool and everything, but you are almost better off with a mp3 cd player.

not to mention I already have 5 other locations in my house capable of playing MP3 cd's...

Sure, there are always alternative, but why bother with them? Just get the best, its money well spent. Would you rather spend 200 on a cheap imitation, or 300 on the best that there is? *shrug*

I dont want an MP3 cd player because they are big. I dont want a regular MP3 player but there isnt enough memory. Something in between would be nice.

after about 5 months, my friends 20gb Ipod(2) has a battery life of 2-3 hours...
