Falsely Accused Florida man freed after 22 yrs in prison

This just fucking pisses me off

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...na_exoneration

The guy gets freed because dna proves he was totally innocent.

Florida prison lets him out with NOTHING , They didnt even give him a bus ticket home or $100.

The convicted pedophiles that were GUILTY that got out with him were given clean clothes a plane ride home and 100$ cash.

Gee the justice system seems to be working great.

" whoops sorry about that sir, go on about your life "

If I was a millionaire in Florida id send him a few millions and whatever ride he would like with a few hoes hehe.

I do understand that they cant just give the guy oodles of money as soon as he gets out, but cmon florida..

At least give the guy a ride home and a place to stay until he files a civil suit..

Damn that's pretty fucked up, I know exactly where that prison is I used to work in that area. I can smell a major lawsuit coming.

init 09-13-2004 09:52 AM

id definitely be suing if i was him

If you live in florida, you can do something about it..

Phone up your attorney general and tell him about the story and demand they go make sure this guy has plenty food and clothing.

Attorney general's are kickass for this kind of thing.. If you have never used one , remember this thread , because some day you might need one.

If you ever have a problem with the "system" use your attorney general.

I have had several bank problems in the past, everytime i have, one call to the attorney generals office and problem is solved..

def a major lawsuit, but besides the money aspect, when did everyone turn into robots..

I would quit if my boss told me we had "accidently" locked an innocent man in a box for 22 years and i was to let him out and not even give him a bus ticket or a "sorry". I would quit right on the spot and give the guy a ride home myself. It isn't even a question in my mind. I cant see how any employee of the prison wouldn't feel the exact same way. I can't see how morally you could do such a thing..

On the non US TV you see stuff like that daily.

Manowar 09-13-2004 10:11 AM

I wouldn't be too worried about this guy. The lawyers who are courting him will make sure he's well fed and has a roof over his head. He'll have a line of lawyers wrapped around the block to help him sue the State of Florida.

And he deserves every penny.

DNA has been around for years, how come it took so long for them to use it on this case?

Perhaps they should pay him twice as much for every year he spent in prison while they argued about not using DNA.
