What was the reason for that ?? You'd think that if people paid to see a concert that they'd be happy to see the guy.

First it was a festival and not from that genre mainly.

Second, one of the bands had the crowd throw shit during their last song. Since that they started throwing shit between every band / group which is what they were doing when G-Unit came out. Few of the members of G-U started throwing bottles back off the stage and it ignited from there.

It was a rock festival, Green Day were on straight after for fucks sake. Why on earth they booked that guy who knows? It was being planned all day to bottle him off stage, 100s were at the front with their bottles lined up in wait.
