Any TGP webmasters using high availability clusters?

Longterm outages can seriously fuck-up your traffic trades.

So I wondered if anyone was using server clusters to
reduce the risk of downtime and spread server loads.

If so, what TGP software are you using?

And how does the cluster work?

Use http://www.trafficbanking.com/ If you own a tgp and dont use this new tool you could be fucked.

Wouldn't it be easier to just own a few TGP sites on different servers and hosting companies!

What relevance does this have to to clustering servers and/or
ensuring that your trades don't die if a server goes down?

Why do you say that? I'm not sure I follow your logic.

If I have 2 separate servers on 2 separate hosts and one goes down for a prolonged period I could still loose half of my trades (better than 100%, but still hardly ideal). So let's say I use 5 servers on 5 different hosts and then I'd only loose 20% of my trades. But I'd also have to pay for 5 servers, 5 lots of scripts and secure/administer 5 different servers. Plus I'd have to update, arrange trades and manage trades for 5 different sites.

Whereas if I clustered 2 servers (assuming this is possible using one of the decent trade scripts) and a server goes down for a prolonged period, I won't loose ANY of my traffic trades; I don't have to pay for 5 servers, 5 lots of scripts and and secure/administer 5 different servers; I can host as many or as few sites as I like; and the solution is highly scalable.

Just use ny of the several different types
of "generic" cluster configurations and your
script doesn't have to "support" anything.
The cluster appears to the script to be one
giant server. Webgemshosting.com can set you
up a nice cluster. It won't be incredibly cheap,
but it'll be a lot cheaper than being down for a
few days when your drive crashes.

Both EV1 and ServerMatrix offer affordable load balancing systems.
But my understanding it that there needs to be some mechanism
whereby the trade script databases remain synched.

That's why I'm interested in learning how others have done it.
