How often do restaurants fuck up your order?
 

Is it just me or do waiters/waitresses mess up orders all the time?

motherfuckers always forget to give me bbq sauce w/ my nuggets

I would say getting my order wrong happens more than getting it right. Whenever I go to ANY drive through, they get my order wrong... Now I check thoroughly before leaving the drive through. Even down to opening the buns of the burger/sandwich to make sure there is no Onion/Lettuce/Mustard/whatever on it.

they mess up every now and then, especially in drivethru's! why do managers keep them anyway?!

This is why most of them make minimum wage... I love food and hate when it's fucked with...

I tink that the drive throughs are the worst for getting it wrong, but the people inside, like a waitress, usually gets it wrong, because they do not write shit down anymore.


I would be much more inpressed with someone who wrote it down and got it right, then someone who fucks the entire thing up because they dont have a pen.

Probably 10% of the time. I never go back to complain if its fast food but in a restaurant I usually say something but dont bother getting it fixed.

I'm not talking about fast food. I'm talking about any restaurant. There's always some fuck up. :(

Sorry about that; but glad it happened to you too because I was thinking that it was only me.
Like I was cursed or something.

I would go eat with friends and everyone would get their order served except me. Everyone is thru eating when I get my plate.
I no longer ask to hold the pickles because that just made them fuck up more. You can always recognize me anytime in McDonalds...I'm the one removing the pickels with my fingers.

Well, nicer restaurants don't mess up as much and they usually have mre of a selection for me but I notice that when I go Olive Garden type places, they're usually clueless. :(

i have found drive-thrus to be THE WORST

not only can you hardly even hear them on the mic system, most of them can't speak english to start with :mad:

I once had a problem at Pizza Hut. We ordered our food, drinks and garlic bread. 30 minutes later we are still waiting for our drinks and garlic bread.

So I asked the waitress where they were, 10 minutes later they had not arrived so complained to the manager. Who told me to be patient and wait, they were busy. So we walked out.

Wrote Pizza Hut a letter complaing and they appolagised and sent me a free meal voucher for two at the same place we walked out of. :mad:

Drive thru fun.

1. Hit the drive thru on a lunch hour and wait in line.
2. When its your turn to order, honk the horn for each word you say as you are talking. As the cashier asks you to stop, reply what and honk as you are saying it.

OR

( this one requires a megaphone, Radio Shack's have these in abundance for cheap)

1. Head to local drive in at lunch hour.
2. Wait for worker to ask for your order.
3. Reply back via megaphone to them.

In both cases, after you get your order in the car, you can finish up with a nice blast of an airhorn ( available most auto supply stores) as the clerk turns when you ask for extra ketchup, napkins or whatever you have them hunting for.

Watching them scurry like mad after the airhorn blast is priceless.

Happens to me all the time.. usually forgetting to hold the tomato on whatever, and I do so very much hate raw tomatos.

they always mess up my order, whenever i order mash potato i always end up getting french fries. happened on multipe occasions in dirrerent places.

Well, I guess that's being ultra picky. I'm talking as bad as giving me the wrong item or side dish.

I almost never have a problem...maybe it's because I always take the order default and don't often customize my order....this is where mistakes tend to happen....

A fuck up is a fuck up... its even worse when you see then mark it down and they still fuck it up.

Its good for getting free meals though, when you aren't in any hurry. :thumbsup

I go to this small vegan restaurant and it's funny because they give me a completely different dish than I ordered and it's even written down on the check what I should have gotten.

They're probably pothead hippies doing the cooking.
