Pic of Ivan About To Enter The Gulf of Mexico (wow pic)
It was fun roughing it for a week. Really makes you appreciate things much more. Got everything working now, power, cell, phone, cable, water.
I feel sorry for whoever ends up getting the direct Ivan hit. This one is twice as powerful as Frances. http://www.nnvl.noaa.gov/hurseas2004...0912-1kg12.jpg |
Sweet pic :thumbsup
Hope everyone in the path of Ivan will be ok.. |
cool pic :thumbsup
oh yea, I'm not looking forward to seeing this one hit land.. It will most defiantly devastate where ever it hits land. The last two did some damage but this one is going to be pretty bad if it doesn't lose some strength.
wow. poor jamaica got swallowed up whole.
:helpme
damn :helpme
Did you wait everything out right there in FL? |
Nice pic. Where do you get'em?
I hope that Cuba takes some punch out of this one and it doesn't slow down in the gulf because if it picks up all that warm water somebodies truly fucked...
nice picture :thumbsup
Where is it expected to hit in the US?
Fuck....
I hope whoever's in the path of this one is ready for it. The National Weather Service advises those in the path of Hurricane Ivan to be finalizing their preparations. These preparations should include the following: Shutters up, ground-floor empty of any important things, (legal documants, files, pictures, family treasures etc. to prevent flood waters from ruining/sweeping them away), pets either with you at a shelter or kennelled in a safe shelter to ensure their survival, cell phones charged, any electronics up off of the ground floor and safely secured, contact numbers to check in with family programmed in the cell phones, (CHECK THIS ONE THOROUGHLY AND CALL THE APPOINTED FAMILY MEMBER(S) ONCE THE STORM HAS BLOWN OVER!!), evacuation completed or well in progress, medications needed, glasses/contacts and identification & money on your person. If you are riding the storm out at home, (NWS does NOT condone this one), make sure you have candles, hurricane lamps/lanterns, lots of spare batteries in the size(s) required for your flashlights and other pertinient electronics, enough canned food (or MRIs) to last you for at least three days, enough bottled water to last for at least three days, (more if you have pets; they need water as well! 1 gallon of water per day per person is the minimum, for pets, 1 gallon per day per two dogs. Cats dont' generally drink much, so a single gallon for the cat will hold him for three days), disposable lighters, waterproof matches, blankets/pillows for body protection against flying debris, and a battery powered am/fm radio. I also suggest a battery-powered police scanner/NOAA weather radio. For all of y'all in the path, I hope that you make it out okay. If you haven't already run, do so now, while you still have the time. If you're planning to stick it out, I wish you the best. |
Jamaica is going to die

wow, that thing looks scary. I'm glad it's not happening where I live
I have a feeling alabama, the florida panhandle, and southern, hell even northern georgia are in for a rough week ahead. It will slow down a little as it hits land, but if it cuts the right path it wont matter.

Well it looks like it's heading towards the Panhandle. I'm up in Pensacola and we just got back from New Orleans but if Ivan keeps heading this direction we'll be going out of town again until it all blows over again. :( (sigh)
