How much should I ask for exclusive content?
 

I am new in this biz and would appreciate any input.
Is $75 a good price for a exclusive softcore set? (100 pics + a 15 minutes movie)

Ask yourself this - What is it worth to you?

How much did you have to pay the model?
How much time did you spend editing?
How much time did you spend shooting?
HOw much time did you spend promoting?

Then multiple that by 1.30 (30% profit) = how much you should sell the content for..

Question is - Is it worth that amount?

Price shop - how much is similar content selling for exclusive?

Is this for digital licensing only? Paysite only? (if so how many paysites) How much is eligible for TGP etc? If so how much of it?

Are you going to license it for wireless as well?

What about for print?

What about for broadcast other then internet - TV, Cable, Satilite, etc.?

What about DVD - I know its only one scene but I'm sure you are going to do more, are you going to release a DVD?


Okay I'm not going to get on my soap box about how people who have no clue how to do license content or the value of what they have, a rant for a another day.......

Bottom line there is more to producing content then getting some girl to act sexy in front of a camera......

For what I saw it's a good price. I doubt if you will get more.

You need to learn what is a teen and how to make a model look horny.

This equasion will send you bankrupt very fast. Firstly there is no cost for equipment, expenses, travel, props, clothing, location and a few other things. Take all your costs and then add 50%

Bottom line with pricing is, what's the maximum you can realise from it.

I think $75,- is to cheap for exclusive rights. But perhaps you can explain me your ideas a bit better.

$75 is not enough to charge for the photo set alone.....Then there's the video to consider.

He should be charging 2 to 4 times that just for the exclusive photos.

is exclusive just selling to one costumer and than
withdrawing the sets or can one sell exclusive to
up to, let us say, ten costumers before withdrawing
the sets?

Exclusive = only one buyer has the rights to this content - which means they can use it on sites they own normally or give it away as free content.

It all depends on the contract.

It also depends on if you are giving full exclusive which means they own it out right for any media channel - wireless, broadcast, etc. or if it DIGITAL RIGHTS ONLY.

Exclusive = sets sold to one person will never be sold again.

you can use it anyplace you want , is full exclusivity.

The video alone would seem worth it to buy and grab a ton of screen shots from to use anyway that you so choose as you would have exclusivity to it
