How NOT to run your business!! Step 1
 

Today I take my car to the car wash, have the man (the owner) wash my car all by hand. He finishes and tells me that will be £2.50. I hand him a £20 and ask him to give me £16 back. So giving him £4 for the job, since my car looked pretty damn nice.

He comes back out from the garage and hands me my chance, me not thinking I just sit it down in the car and drive off home. I get in the house and I notice he has given me back £21.

I wonder how long he'll last doing this.

if he did a nice job i'd go back and pay him

Just take it to the same carwas next week, and leave a £10 instead...

We make mistakes all time in the customers favor, forget to charge ect.. when we catch it, not once has anyone been like "oh just go ahead and charge those months."

It's just part of Biz, mistakes happen and are part of the equation.

Oh I did pay him. I went back. Thats not very nice, shaving the car wash company :1orglaugh

I could, but I just paid him today. I think he felt a little embarrassed that I actually went back.

It probably cost me more in Petrol to go back up. FUCKER !!

I worked at a carwash for a while in high school. I noticed that the people driving hummers, escalades, mercedes, etc. and were obviously rich rarely tipped well. The people who drove the shit buckets that made you wonder why they were even getting it washed always tipped pretty good.

I have had a lot of places give me too much change back and I normally return it but on occasion the guy will have been kind of a dick, in this case I say fuck em.

Yeah it does sound a bit cheap, can't get a car wash in London for less than £6.. if you expect your car in complete working order afterwards mind you.

Well in London they are fucking you over. My car looked great, thats one of the reasons I did take the money back up to the place. The other being I felt bad.
