Questions for people who think america is superior
 

Now, why is usa so much better than anyone else? Why do you gloat 24/7/365?

Can someone tell me why I would be better off on a personal level living in the usa compared to say, france, spain or finland?

Bash away, but I'm seriously intrested if any of you have valid answers.

Because we're told so by the media and pretty much brainwashed, aka SHEEP. I don't think I'm better than any one of you. Just because we were raised in different cultures surrounded by different beliefs doesn't mean we're better than you or you're better than us.

The media has us all believing that the USA is a juggernaut of Liberty and Freedom when we're really battling ourselves into financial and economic disaster. :2 cents:

Also, I have to admit.. the steaks I had in florida were BIG, succulent and juicy. Better than steaks in france.

How's that worse than having a mix variety of races in your place? I don't have to interact with the muslims if I don't want to, and not all of them are fucking extremists. That's a very poor reason.

I agree, I lived before in germany and all i can say is, that sooner or later it will get a big conflict there for sure....About Europes future i don´t want to think, but it´s very sure, that it will be fucked !!!

Finland has 4 months of very nice weather, and the summers rock. I hate the long, dark and cold winters.
Prices are outrageously high and the high taxes don't help it. But it's safe and relatively clean. :)

im not a US citizen, but if you look at it from the economical point of view, the US is still the superior power in the world.

well, that does not make US people better than anyone else in the world ... and if you look at it in a historical context, it may change again over time (there was a time when France or the UK was the #1). Maybe in 100-200 years China will be the most powerful country on the globe. This stuff is quite dynamic and dont believe that everything will stay the same for all the time. Ya never know.

If I ever moved to Europe I would move to Switzerland. Noone ever fucks with Switzerland! :thumbsup

This country is as fucked up as any other - we just have fancier stuff to make us look better. It's smoke and mirrors.

On personal level it doesn't mean jack shit if your country is an economical power or have the biggest military, unless you want to believe that.

If you like spain, come to us on the canary islands, i live here for a year now and its always like a warm spring and the rest of the world seems to be very far away :)

I had go play war in Denmark once, if I remember it was daylite for like 20 plus hours per day. So I would guess winter is dark time.

I lived in france pre 9/11 and i remember signs on the streets calling arabic people "brown pests" - doesnt sound very embracing.

However I can say, I think I'm better than 3/4th of Europe. I can prove it, too! :thumbsup

Yeah it is. When I used to go to school, I got up and went to school in the dark before the sun rose.. and I got out of school when sun had already set. :(

But summers are nice. It's like 3 hours of darkness :)

Yeah, as a kid we went to Gran canaria once a year with my mom. it was nice. I don't know if want to move to an island though. :)

America is great at many things, food production, industry, commerce are some of them. And it has some faults, education social services, lawyers are some of them.

I lovwe going to the States and would consider retiring there, if I could afford it. That's the other problem, BLOODY EXPENSIVE, well it is for us shopaholics. :1orglaugh

Don't come to Helsinki if you thought US was expensive (aside from NY and the like). I thought Florida was fucking cheap :)

You should try in California, around Clear Lake fairly cheap, great social programs, they hung the last 3 lawyers that move there.

I don't know. I'm a history buff (translation; I smoke pot and watch the History channel) and I've never heard of Switzerland being invaded or attacked or bombed or under seige or anything war related. They're a pretty cool country and I wouldn't mind living there. :thumbsup

USA IS superior to A lot of different places around the world. IMO USA Is what you make of it. There are a lot of places that prolly is better then the usa but as for myself I have never lived outside the usa. Ive gone to Canada thought that was a awesome place. Everywhere has its ups and downs like Canada has free medical as where the usa don't.


I don't belive in going around saying we are better blah blah blah its in the eye of the beholder. *shrugs*

Oh man it's a pretty country, i guess the pretties in Europe. Haven't been 2 all of them but it was by far the pretties, I visited.

I may move to Switzerland sometime for a year... I have ridiculous amounts of family there.

My Mother and brother live in So Cal so I would be close to them as well. No I'm sure there are many places in the US I would be happy to live if I had the money. But I think I will probably buy a house in Thailand and spend the winter months there and the summers in Czech with my wife and child.

If you're rich living in the US would probably be a little better. If you're poor it would not. However I support my retired Mum and she reckons it's cheaper to live in So Cal then Europe, she's on a middle income bracket.

I guess it's what you're used to.
