you say you don't want an outsourcing company but you don't have deal with anyone but the designer if you work with xxxoutsourcing.com they did the cartoon logo for one of my sites www.howardforpresident.com . I had no problems dealing with them, they don't charge ridiciulous prices and delivered my logo on time and on point :thumbsup

I used to be an artist. You said the best, well go to this board and have a look for yourself. Most of the people there will be happy to work with you if you can pay them enough.
