best mp3 player ?

whats the best one ? iPod ?

buddyjuf 09-12-2004 12:20 AM

3 of my friends have ipods

after 6 months, they hate it

battery life is MUCH lower than when they bought it, also they crash left and right

I got myself the Iriver IHP-140 instead, and it REALLY kicks ass, too bad the controls are more difficult :(
the batter life is literally 3X longer and it doesn't crash. ever

just so you know, the 20gb one is maybe 33% thinner than the 40gb one, so if you dont have more than 20gb of songs, it's better to have the thinner one :glugglug

Manowar 09-12-2004 01:11 AM

the iPods were good before they started mass producing them, and flaws became massive.

IPOD is probly the coolest of them. Lots of space. sony just put one out that is trying to rival it but a new ipod just came out that has better battery life so sony doesnt have a chance.

slapass 09-12-2004 03:15 PM

Now here is the stupid question for the thread... Are you taking your songs off P2P servers or is there a commercial service that has a decent selection at a low price you are using?

justsexxx 09-12-2004 03:16 PM

I have an IPOD, I like it.

Review of the HP thing here. At the time I got my IPOD there was a lot less competition

The best MP3 player by far is the PC. Mine holds about 200 GB of music and you can play solitaire on it too.

Steen2 09-12-2004 03:23 PM

I like my iPod.

And lol @ the Grammar Police.

I think this has gotta be one of the best. 30 hour lithium ION battery and a 20 gig hard drive.

only a few more days till they are available. worth the wait I would think.
