The world is fucked, North Korea has the bomb!
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...a_explosion_dc
SEOUL (Reuters) - A mushroom cloud up to 2.5 miles in diameter was seen after an explosion in a remote area of North Korea (news - web sites) near the border with China, Yonhap news agency reported on Sunday, quoting sources in Beijing. The South Korean news agency said Thursday's blast in Kimhyungjik county in Yanggang province appeared to much worse than a train explosion that killed at least 170 people in April. South Korean intelligence officials said they were monitoring the report, but declined detailed comment. A U.S. official said Saturday it was unclear what had happened in North Korea and said there were various possible explanations for the report. |
For what it's worth, the world has been fucked for a long time... it's just getting a little closer to the end. :thumbsup

old news, and it might not even really be a nuke
|
As I said in another thread on this topic, conventional explosives can make a mushroom cloud.

Official word from North Korea "Somebody set up us the bomb."

North korea is a bunch of swell guys that would never blow up some hit.
Everyone knows a mushroom cloud is nothing to worry about |
Naw.. China is just warning them.
The region in North Korea believed to have been hit by a huge blast on September 9 is home to a underground missile base that was listed as a possible uranium enrichment site, according to a disarmament think tank. Kimhyungjik county, where a large explosion was recorded on Thursday, hosts the Yongjori Missile Base, an underground base thought to hold missiles and launchers, according to the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) database. There has been no confirmation of the location or nature of the explosion in Ryanggang province, a remote and mountainous region which Western defence experts believe houses key military sites. It is off-limits to outsiders, including aid agencies. Kimhyungjik county is named after leader Kim Jong-il's grandfather and sits right on the border with China. |

Britain today demanded an immediate explanation from North Korea after fears the Communist regime may have conducted nuclear tests

If its being played down by Washington, (which it is), then it was nuclear, and now the Bush administration has real egg on their faces for going after alleged WMD's in Iraq, when the real deal in North Korea actually has them, and will use them if they don't get what they want.
Mission Accomplished in finding WMD's, My ass. http://www.dissidentvoice.org/Articl...complished.jpg |
Iran with a nuke is far more scary.

We're still the most powerful country in the world Evil. and Spain is still the most insignificant, at least since the Socialist panty-wringing party took over. |

Doesn't matter if you're the most powerful or not, you can still be hurt. I vaguely remember something that happened a few years ago. as for spain. So what if they gave in. I'd still rather live there than in the us, probably a lot safer. |

I'm curious as to why/ how CNN can say it's not a nuclear blast. They're the only ones to do so atm. I'm starting to think CNN is so far down in the gov't's pocket they're scratching it's knee...
Btw, Good moring, GFY! :321GFY |

What a bullshit Fuck bush |

Second, you're making the unfounded assumption that the Bush administration has not been aware of the problem, and has not been doing anything about it. I don't think that's realistic. They're far ahead of the *breaking news* you read in papers. They've certainly been conducting *classified* efforts against or with the North Koreans and the Iranians for some time. With a threat that dire, *classified* is the best way to go. Don't telegraph your punches, and sneak up on the enemy, rather than announcing that your coming. |
you can't have a nuke explosion without radiation, no one is complaining about radiation passing over their country.
thier is some bullshit about this story. |
