Our team has edited over 800 reality site scenes, 30-50 min. long, and over 1500 custom videos for other customers over the past 2 years.
I have 4 experienced editors that work out of their homes and all do great work. Went through and trained over 25 people to get these 4.
If interested I'll have you contact them direct. Here's what I pay them:
---they get raw video, mini dv tape
---i get edited video encoded per customers specs, usually multiplie formats and splits
---i get teasers and 10 sec clips for movie galleries
---i get backup dvd's of fully edited video in .avi, .mpg and .wmv format
I pay $5-6 per minute on the total time of final edit of video
example: 40 min. final video cost $200.
After tons of people, paying by the hour, working inhouse, etc, this has proven to be the most cost effective to get the quality we need.
Giving this offer to those that need editing because a few new customers are doing their own editing. Really like to keep the folks that have been banging out video for me for 2 years busy.
